Pram to fit in fiat 500

So I can't trade my car in until February and I'm due in October! Not ideal but will have to do. Those who have had a Fiat 500 know how small the boot is! Anyone have any recommendations on a pram that will fit? Much appreciated xx

They are tiny! I had one for my first car and my friend had just had a baby who didn't drive. anywhere we went was a nightmare the pram took up the boot and then the carry cot had to go on the spare back seat and then the baby was in the seat next to the carry cot it was hard work shopping was a no if baby come along
I'd get something that folds up tiny or a Doona the car seat that goes into a pram would probably be easier for car trips xxx

Baby jogger city mini, bugaboo bee

There's a website called my buggy my car. You put your reg in and it tells you what will fit !

I also have a Fiat 500 and have just bought a Bugaboo Cameleon, with some manoeuvring and lowering of the back seat I have made it fit haha however I really wanted the pram so was willing to make it work

I had a Toyota aygo with m first which is also really small. The wheel part of the buggy just fit into the boot (silver cross pioneer) and then the bassinet/seat would go on a passenger seat. I switched to a stroller at 6 months sooo much easier! About to have second baby and have got a Kia Sportage now so more room!

My cousin has a very small Peugeot and she has just bought the oyster 3 - John Lewis were very helpful she said. Maybe try there x

You’ll fit something like a YoYo in no problem, but we also fit a bigger pram in (Mamas&Papas Armadillo Flip XT) easily enough by popping off one or both wheels.

BabyZen Yo Yo is probably your best bet. My Bee didn't fit in my DPs Fiat 500.

DollyParton2 · 22/05/2021 08:24

Was just going to say Babyzen YoYo.

In sort of the same boat @lockdownbabyx, I am due in October but I own my car and do not want to exchange. I have made a free 1-hour appointment with mamas & papas to try out different solutions.

Baby lady YouTube channel have done videos on which prams will fit in a small boot and it’s a fiat 500 they test them in

flashylamp · 22/05/2021 09:23

Which 500 do you have? Some have 50/50 folding rear seat and some don't. If you have it you could fold down one side of the read to give you more space. But some bungee thingys so you can secure your pram.

Bugaboo bee or baby zen yo-yo.

One of my friends had a fist 500 and I had a bee. If we went shopping in her car I could get my bee in the boot. The baby zen is smaller still so would definitely fit!

Moominmiss · 22/05/2021 09:34

Fiat!!! Not fist 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

lockdownbabyx · 22/05/2021 09:37

Wow this is really helpful thanks everyone! I didn't think any pram and the carrycot would fit in my car 😂. Thanks again all x

We had a suzuki swift. Miniscule boot! No carrycot fitted but we could get the chassis and normal seat in there of a fair few models, so I prioritised lie-flat parent facing without carrycot. We still used the carrycot, but only for walks from home.

My shortlist is a couple of years old now but this is what I ended up looking at:

Maxi Cosi Adorra
Maxi Cosi Stella
Cybex Balios S (You need the Balios S Lux for the lie flat seat)
Joie Chrome (Versatrax is the updated version)
Mutsy Evo - this is what we ended up with as I found it second hand. I like it, but there are things I am less keen on.

In hindsight if money was no object I think I would have gone for one of the Maxi Cosi ones, maybe one of the ones they have released since then.

BertieBotts · 22/05/2021 09:48

And if I was on a tight budget but buying new the Joie would have been a great choice I reckon.
