Genuinely terrified of first scan

Have a scan in just over a week to find out how far along (irregular periods, can't pinpoint how many weeks) I'm so nervous!!!
I've had symptoms, fatigue, sometimes nauseas and I've gone off a lot of foods - and my moods are ridiculous.

But I'm just so scared!! Wondering what if they find nothing? What if it's ectopic? And all the other worries Sad

After many years of trying I am just praying that it's a normal healthy pregnancy!!

Just want to wish you the best. Try not to worry. Just take it one day at a time.

Firstly congratulations! Flowers
Nerves before a scan are totally normal!
Good luck and enjoy seeing your baba!

@edgylemons I had an early scan at 6 and a half weeks and luckily we did see a tiny dot with a heartbeat but I had another 6 weeks to wait til we got to the 12 week scan. I had very little symptoms at all and had worked myself up so much about it I just presumed they were going to say there isn’t a baby in there. The second they put the ultrasound on my belly I could see him instantly and could clearly see his heart beating so I stopped worrying straight away. I couldn’t actually believe he was in there! Have faith that everything will be okay, I really wish I hadn’t spent all that time worrying so much. My friend is going through a terrible time at the moment and it’s made me realise how lucky I am to have a healthy baby in there. Hope everything goes well x
