Hi folks,

I'm 20 weeks and have an anterior placenta. For those of who have anterior placentas when did you feel baby move?

It was around 24 weeks for me and then it was only just very slight movements like electrical pulses to start with.

AnneLovesGilbert · 18/05/2021 14:01

21 weeks

Mishmased · 18/05/2021 14:03

Around 23/24 weeks. Placenta moved and I'm now 38 weeks and feel lots of movement.

I had a few flutters just before my 20-week scan, then noticed more movement pretty soon thereafter (possibly partly psychological!)

This is baby 6, 1st anterior placenta. I could feel the 1st movements around 12wk but they remained few and far between until 20wk. At 21+5wk dh could feel her kicks on the outside. Now 27wk and she's got a good strong and I love watching her kicking.

Chelyanne · 18/05/2021 14:12

Was in the middle of editing that when it posted. She's getting strong is what it should say

1st baby around 20 weeks. Second baby 24/25 weeks.

About 15/16 weeks. I used to feel the movement in the right side of my stomach only before I knew I had an anterior placenta. I found out at 16 weeks I had one but it sat mote towards to the left side of my stomach so that explained why I only felt it there. The bigger she got I could feel her all over but it was still more obvious on the right side.

I’m 17 weeks with an anterior. Second baby but first was posterior placenta.

Over the last week I’ve started feeling very slight flutters on my left hand side, but only very few. Think it will be a good few weeks for me before I start feeling anything stronger.

bigbeatmanifesto · 18/05/2021 14:22

Slight taps around 20 weeks, actual kicks around 22 weeks.

MintGreenLife · 18/05/2021 14:35

16 weeks for me with first baby, felt really lucky to feel movements so early with an anterior placenta!

ELBlack · 18/05/2021 15:59

20+ 4 but still subtle. Now 22 and feel them much more strongly.

ExcitingTimes2021 · 18/05/2021 16:06

Felt first movements at 21/22 weeks. But even now at 28 weeks I have to really concentrate to feel movement and can only feel if she kicks to the side! It’s causing a lot of stress. Iv posted about it complaining loads!

Bumbelinaaa · 18/05/2021 16:07

I had anterior with my first and it was about 22 weeks, I remember the sonographer being surprised at my 20 week scan because the baby was really active and I didn’t feel anything!

KleineDracheKokosnuss · 18/05/2021 16:08

24 weeks

LayingLow · 18/05/2021 21:36

Baby #4 first time with anterior placenta. Felt regular movement from 23 weeks

Nat4392 · 18/05/2021 21:41

First flutters around 18 weeks, proper kicks around 22/23 weeks.

HappyDaysToCome · 18/05/2021 21:47

About 20-22 weeks

Compared to my first pregnancy when could feel baby on the outside at 17w
