Hi
I want to start purchasing some items, we're due our first baby in Sept. What size baby bottles will I need to buy? I'm interested in the MAM bottles and noticed they do 160ml and 260ml, how many of each size will I need?

Also...will Mam bottles be suitable to use with the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep machine?

Amazon have mam starter set on offer, that should be fine. Then you can just change teat size when needed.

Perfect prep, yes and no. I mix fed and had problems with the taller bottles and mixing it. Tip I read here make it up in the shaker that comes with the machine then pour into the mam bottle.

I had both sized mam bottles for my first and the perfect prep machine and it was fine for both sizes.

As they get bigger you want the bigger bottles.

With my first, the perfect prep was amazing but my second has reflux and the prep machines creates too much added air for her which aggravates her reflux so I have to make her bottles by hand.

If your baby has no issues, the PP is a godsend.

My babies have been a little on the fussy side with bottles. I bought a whole range of bottles before DD1 was. Orb but she wouldn't drink from them. Perhaps wait until your baby arrives before investing too heavily.

Good luck!! You're almost at the finish line!! Xx

I'd go with the bigger ones and would recommend getting a set of 6.

I got the mam starter pack, it has 4 of each size bottle in it and other bits too.
I think the max you need is 6 of any size, we had that many for each of our older ones. We had different coloured ones for our twins so we could tell which bottle was each ones.
