Sonographer scans baby on my right side

Hi all,
So I had a private 8 week scan and just had my 12 weeks scan, I can't determine anything from either for the gender . Can't make out placenta position and nothing clear for the nub.
However at each of my scans the sonographer presses on very far over on my right hand side to see baby.
I was wondering if this means anything,
My friend who is having a girl said all her scans so far the sonographer has been reaching over looking over on her left hand side.

Currently 13 weeks and 3 days with 1st baby xx

I don’t think the position of the baby has any relation to its gender. It’s just a coincidence that that is where the sonographer has found them each time.

The sonographer doesn’t know the sex, so this wouldn’t make any sense.

It doesn’t mean anything. If they’ve confirmed as intrauterine pregnancy it is just the most convenient place to put the probe in order to get the best images. Don’t freak yourself out by trying to read into it too much

They can implant anywhere in your womb. Your baby has obviously implanted on your right and your friend’s baby has implanted on the left. This possibly has to do with which ovary the egg came out of and has nothing to do with gender at all.

Are you hoping for a girl?

OwlTwitterings · 10/05/2021 15:35

Because you either ovulated or else the baby has implanted on the right side, so they need to press harder there to look since the baby is currently so small.

Fair enough, Thank you for the replies.
It was just a thought.
I've read somewhere to do with right or left determining gender but think its to do with ramzi theory.
Were hoping for a boy.

@AllTheCakes
I'm not saying they would know...
Im saying its where they have to look to see the baby, right side or left side...
