16 weeks - Pain in the uterus?

I am 16 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and for the last few days I’ve been having intermittent mild sharp pains where my uterus lies, no bleeding. It’s not like a cramp either. I thought it could be round ligament pain but thing is - it’s not even at the sides at all. It’s directly between my pubic bone and my belly button which obviously at this stage is where the baby is. Did anyone experience this or know anything about what it might be? I’m trying not to worry, especially as it’s my first pregnancy... not a clue what to expect 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks.. ❤️

Best to call your midwife. Mumsnet isn’t the best place for medical advice. I hope all is well 😊

I would second that advice-just call the mw, it's what they are there for, if they want to see you they will ask you to come in, or they will do an assessment over the phone.

Tbh I get random pains like that and all over my bump on and off frequently, I'm 18 weeks. I do get that worrying instinct but your body does often ache around there whilst everything's growing so I try to ignore it really and it goes away. This is my second pregnancy and I think it was similar in my first. If the pain was so bad I needed pain relief I would call my midwife, or the EPAU if out of hours/can't contact midwife. Having said that, there's really never any harm in speaking to the midwife if you're worried about anything so give them a call.

I had this at 15 -16 weeks, midwife said it was stretching pains, only lasted seconds at a time. It can be SPD pain as well. Had 20 week scan and baby was fine
