9 weeks pregnant baby measuring 5 weeks

Hi everyone wondering if you can help.

I had a miscarriage and D&C 3rd March and then fell pregnant again soon after. Got a positive test on 8th April, so going by the dates of intercourse and the surgery I thought I was 5 weeks. Took tests week before this one and got a negative so definitely wasn't retained products. Took few more tests as weeks went by, got very strong lines and 3+ two weeks ago. Went for a scan today thinking I was 9 weeks and the they could see a tiny baby with a fluttering heartbeat that they measured 5 weeks.

This would mean I got a positive test before I was actually pregnant??! Nurse said to just wait for the 12 week scan, but that's in another 7 weeks now!!!

Anyone else had this?

I am 9 weeks today also and waiting for my scan this Tuesday. I havbt has this, but I know that the measurements of the baby are quite important. I would ask for a follow up scan in a week or two to make sure things are progressing. You can’t be sure of your dates, but as you say it doesn’t make any sense that you would have tested positive before you were pregnant. It’s unfair to leave you hanging for they long with no explanation.
