I would like some advice if anybody can help I recently found out I was pregnant on March 21st as my implant had expired, I took a clear blue test which showed 3+ so I did 5 more tests and all showed the same result, I started bleeding and having period like pains then it got worse and had a scan only to show a sac no heart beat and a 3mm fetal pole my bleeding was on and off for another 2 weeks so had another scan still with no heart beat and this time only a sac no fetal pole so look like I miscarried, only today I took another clear blue test and now says 2-3 does this mean I am pregnant again or after effects from miscarriage plz help as driving me mad and been going through all this alone as have no support.thanks

It can take weeks for a home test to become negative after a miscarriage.
If you don't get a negative test after 6 weeks you should contact your GP to investigate further.

Kaireggie2 · 07/05/2021 15:01

I was just wondering is it normal that 6 cler blue tests showed jwd 3+ now showing 2-3 after miscarriage

It can take a while for the HCG to drop and show a negative test.

They thought I was miscarrying last year and told me to wait 2 weeks to test again. If negative, it meant everything was ok. (Unfortunately it was positive, which indicated complications for me...), but that was my GP's advice. I had an ectopic and ended up in surgery - and again, after surgery, they told me to test again in 2 weeks to check it was negative.

The fact you've had bleeding for 2 weeks and still show a positive test would worry me a little - I would just want some reassurance that there were no complications :-)

It's less than the first tests so probably still picking up hcg, it will take a while for it all to be out of your system I'm afraid

Kaireggie2 · 07/05/2021 15:19

My bleeding has stopped I'm just more curious to why the result on the test shows differently to the last 6, and now shows less weeks I'm sorry to hear about your pregnancy and all the best for the future

I have been seeing and hearing other people's stories and videos that they became pregnant within 2 weeks of miscarrying

Following one of my mc’s it took 5 nearly 6 weeks for my hcg levels to drop low enough not to be picked up on a test.

A few days before I finally got my negative test I was still getting a 1-2 weeks on a clearblue.

I’d say it’s still leftover hormone following your loss.

I would expect you to get a negative sometime over the next couple of weeks.

Ok thank you all for your help,

I had a miscarriage on 29th of March and bled for about 6 days. I got pregnant a couple of weeks after the bleeding stopped and I'm now showing 2-3 weeks on the test. I did have negative tests after the bleeding though and a scan to confirm the miscarriage was complete. My hcg levels had also dropped to 0 only 4 days into the miscarriage bleed.

So it's definitely possible. Maybe give it another week or two and re-test. Or speak to a doctor is you need to know now for other reasons

bages1977 · 07/05/2021 16:16

When did you stop bleeding?

RizzleRazzle · 07/05/2021 16:20

If the HCG is decreasing then the amount of weeks on the test will decrease too
Kaireggie2 · 07/05/2021 16:36

I stopped bleeding bout a week ago now but it was just lite with bits of tissue I believe as was only a sac left I had a scan on 15th April and 28th April I found out I was pregnant on 21st March saying 3+ weeks if all had been ok I would have been around 10 weeks now I think.. my bleeding been on off as 1 day a little then next day nothing.. now new test shows 2-3 this is my first miscarriage that's why I'm so confused..

OP posts:
Kaireggie2 · 07/05/2021 16:39

I've not had another scan to show my miscarriage is complete as they said I can let it run it's own course and if not I can have tablets or a d&c surgery but I believe it's all over now as not had any more tissue like stringy bits coming out

OP posts:
Kaireggie2 · 07/05/2021 16:42

So if I was to take another test in a week and it shows 3+ would that still be to do with HCG do you think

OP posts:
Kaireggie2 · 07/05/2021 16:43

They never did see a yolk sac only sac and fetal pole on first scan and only a sac on second both time no heart beat

OP posts:
bages1977 · 07/05/2021 17:27

Hmm I'm not sure then, it might be a bit of hcg still in your system. Unfortunately I don't think there's much you can do other than wait and test in another week or so. Sorry for your loss ❤️

Puntastic · 07/05/2021 17:30

Sorry to hear you're going through this all alone with no support, OP. If you are pregnant again, will there be someone to support you through the pregnancy?

Kaireggie2 · 07/05/2021 17:35

Probably not as I feel that certain person has more important things I'm not a big deal

That's awful, OP, you poor thing. If it turns out that you're not pregnant, I'd suggest LTB. He doesn't sound like he'd make a good father to any potential DC in future.

I got pg within 1 week of my mc. Resulted in a healthy baby but I dont recommend it
Hoppinggreen · 07/05/2021 17:44

And I am very sorry for your loss

Kaireggie2 · 07/05/2021 17:44
