6 week scan no heartbeat and positive story's

Hi i had a 6 week scan yesterday and it showed a sack and a yolk but no fetal pole. They asked me to come back in two weeks but said it was 50/50 at this present time and i may have had a missed miscarriage. I think i may of ovulated late and i didn't get a faint bfp until 1 week after my missed period. Could this be why there was no heartbeat? I've had 5 miscarriages and 1 eptopic which resulted in me loosing my right Fallopian tube and ovary so im really clutching at straws. x

Hi OP I’m so sorry about your previous losses.
With my first baby, I didn’t see her heartbeat until her dating scan at 13+5
We had a private medical scan at 9+4 for reassurance and there was no heartbeat visible. However, the baby was big enough at that point that she was moving and so we knew she was ok. But we definitely had no heartbeat seen

Sorry in answer to your question, it definitely sounds very plausible that you ovulated late.
I know the vast majority of my friends and colleagues had scans which showed different dates to what was expected
