Pain in my thigh

Hi everyone,

Since starting back at work I’ve been having such bad pains in my thigh, I googled it and I think it’s the baby pressing on a nerve but should I go to my gp or tell the midwife about it? Or is this a normal thing to be having? I don’t know how to explain the feeling apart from painful pins and needles and then my thigh sort of feeling numb from it. It’s just so uncomfortable, I work for around 12 hours a day on my feet, I don’t really feel it unless I’m stood up!

Anyone else had anything similar?

One risk with thigh pain is a blood clot, which is slightly more likely in pregnancy. I had this and told the midwife, and they asked if there was redness or swelling. There wasn't, so they are happy. BUT I have no other risk factors for blood clots, so the advice might change if you do, or possibly might even change depending on stage of pregnancy or how you describe the pain to them?
My point is, it won't hurt to mention it to a midwife!

@FeistySheep thanks for your advice, I will mention to midwife just in case!
