Hi,

DH is on nights and DS 18 months is sleeping, I'm alone and a bit panicked. Looking for some advice/reassurance really

Around 17:00 I started feeling off, nauseous and like my stomach was too full and tight. I put it down to probably needing to do a bowel movement.

Fast forward to now, I'm getting diarrhoea pains and urges but I can't go. I get intense pains every so often then they ease. Constant nausea throughout. My baby is moving SO much, a lot more than he usually does.

Can I take paracetamol for this? It hurts to stand up for long, also hurts to sit down so I'm lying on my side.

I can feel movements on my left lower pelvis. I'm only 25 weeks, I had these type bouts of sickness with DS1 but that was near the end of my pregnancy.

Is this normal or should I be worried? I've never had labour, this feels like extreme wind or something with intense tightenings

Can you phone your midwifery team? Or even the hospital? Intense tightening might just be BH but you should at least talk to someone about how you're feeling?

(FWIW dh is here and he's a GP and thinks you should talk to someone)

Hope it all turns out to be just a dodgy tummy.

Thanks I'll call them now, I'm hoping it's just a bad stomach but the tightenings are intense not too painful but incredibly uncomfortable

I think you should call the midwifery team at your hospital. Always get checked out when pregnant.

Cross post, hope everything is OK OP.

You definitely need to be checked out, don't hesitate to make that call.

In the meantime, the NHS website advises that it's fine to take paracetamol when pregnant.

Hi, definetly a stomach bug. Throwing up and diarrhoea followed. Sad

Oh no, I hope you feel better soon... in a way it's good that it's only a stomach bug, although I doubt that sentiment is much comfort right now!

You can take Dioralyte in pregnancy, thought I'd flag that just in case you're not aware!
