Yes. Not with DC1 or 2 but Dc3 onwards I've had them from about 20wks (currently 34wks with DC5)

It hasn't had any relation to the length of my pregnancies, they've all gone over. Mine tend not to be regular and are triggered by full bladder, walking, sex, rolling over in bed and sometimes just because.

But there is no pattern to mine and they don't last for long periods either, and they don't feel like labour.

If you are concerned though do get them checked.

I've had them a lot with both pregnancies. From 18 weeks this time but more frequently since 30 weeks. Dehydration can trigger them so try to stay hydrated. If they go off with a change of position/paracetamol/warm bath it's nothing to worry about. I was induced at Term + 11 days last time and am prepped for induction again.

I'm 30+5 and I started having frequent BH last weekend. I had had them a few times before but they tended to be one odd occurrences. Last Sunday I had several in an hour to the point that I timed them and I was having them every ten mins! I had read to call labour ward in those circumstances you see after some anxious googling. I read that dehydration can cause them so I drank a bottle of water and lay down and they eased off.

They weren't painful at all but uncomfortable and everything felt tight.

I saw my consultant the following day but she didn't seemed concerned given that they had stopped and said I hadn't lost any water.

I had them again the following day or so but they haven't been as frequent the last few days.

This is my second baby and I don't recall having BH at all in my first pregnancy.

I'm 37w and have had them since 20w. They can come on for any reason in my case - exercise, sex, walking up stairs, eating, needing a wee... I don't think they mean anything, your uterus is just practicing for the big day. As long as they're not painful, and you've no other symptoms like loss of fluid, blood etc.

I'm 31+3 and I'm the exact same!! I'm getting them so bad this is my third so more aware of them but so uncomfortable sometimes x

@Jessican I'm 31 and get them quite regularly, at least 8 times a day! My whole stomach goes really really hard and lasts a few mins then eases off! It's worse if I need a wee!!!

I've been having them since 28 weeks I mentioned them to my midwife she wasn't concerned just said it was my body's way of preparing and they do not indicate labour has begun or that it's going to start.

Mine did get increasing worse around 31 weeks stronger and longer but no patterns. I was 31week 6 day saw the midwife again on Thursday just gone and mentioned the night before I woke up to them it was really strong and in what seemed to be a pattern at initial waking wondered if it was real! I was abit concerned but I hopped out of bed went to the toilet and they stopped. She said that sounds about right that movement or change of positions tends to stop them but movement/ position changes doesn't stop real contractions.

This is a higher risk pregnancy due to other reasons like placenta placement and my babys growth so I've had extra monitoring but the Braxton Hicks are no concern to my midwife or consultant at all.
