Scan at 6w+4 with heartbeat, but baby smaller than expected. Anyone else too, what was the outcome?

I had a MC in Jan, so I had an early scan at 6w+4. I was quite sure of the date per my BBT, OPK, and early positive test.

There’s a heartbeat (120bmp), but I’m measuring 5 days smaller than expected (5+6, instead of 6+4). The tech kept mumbling “hmm that’s very very small...” Although I ovulated so late, my LMP was 7+4 and she didn’t seem to be paying attention when I told her it was 6+4...

HCG levels were confusing too. On Tuesday (44,423) and on Thursday (63,320) so they certainly aren’t low... but they didn’t double either.

And the tech was... well, not very friendly. I tried to explain that I was confused. Does her measurement mean I had to have ovulated later than I thought or could it mean the baby isn’t growing properly? She looked at me like I was speaking Latin and didn’t answer any questions, which just made me more anxious. I don’t get to talk to the doctor until late next week.

Anyone had a similar experience with a happy outcome? I’ve read sad ones, and I don’t mind if you share those too.. I just hope for some good ones to help balance it out.
