I started having moderate cramping that would stop me from what I was doing, it lasted around 10/15 minutes before easing, but would return about 4-5 times a day. I contacted my GP and she wasn’t concerned as I had a scan a few days before that showed the baby in the right place. I have no bleeding either. Now at 7 weeks the pains are far more frequent and last longer. I’ve been woken up nearly every hour and it also seems to be triggered when I go for a wee.

Is this normal? When they go I don’t have any pains at all, but when they’re here it’s pretty awful. Sickness also appears too. I have a private scan in 4 days time.

Can I have some advice if this is normal please?

Hi op

I'm in a similar position I'm 7 weeks on Monday and going for a private scan. I keep getting some pains and like a tightness along my back. Never had this with first dc but wondering if it's maybe because of age, not as healthy and so more general pain and awareness

I'd ask the doctors for an appointment to get your wee dipped, I had this and turned out to be a UTI.
