Hey, wanted to ask what do people eat in a typical day while pregnant?
I’m the fussiest eater so I’m struggling to mix things up and been having the same thing everyday for months now (I’m 22 weeks pregnant)
I usually have porridge or coco pops for breakfast, a cheese sandwich with a packet of crips for lunch with some sort of chocolate bar (I can’t resist haha) then I’ll have a mango and spinach smoothie and hidden veggie brown pasta (one of the jars you get from Asda) with cheese on top!
When I first found out I was pregnant I was trying different foods for the first time in years! (I sound like a child I know but I think it’s a physiological thing) but then I hit around 9 weeks and the food aversions started and was sick a few times after eating veg so it’s really put me off, still now the smell of cooking veg makes me want to be sick! 😩
I was just wondering if there’s any other really like ridiculous fussy eaters who are pregnant and what do you eat? I’ve also been really bad with take aways and fast food and vowed today it’s got to stop but it was the only thing I wanted to eat (don’t judge the guilt is real don’t worry), anyways I want to mix it up a bit I’ve read to that too much mango isn’t good? And I’ve had a mango smoothie everyday for ages now!
Thanks everyone ☺️

I wouldn't worry about the mango, I'm sure it's fine. What about having different things in your sandwich as a start? And swapping the chocolate bar for a cereal bar or fruit? Same sort of meal then but a bit more variety. Dinner you could try making some of your favourite takeaway meals rather than buying them?

I ate a load of rubbish in the early days. Getting back to healthier foods now and more cooking than convenience foods but got a bit of an issue with the sweet treats atm which I'm working on.
I've had some collagen protein pancakes with skinny foods choc spread at lunch time, chicken fajitas for tea and got some strawberries and raspberries to have later on once the kids are in bed. A pretty good day for me tbh, though when I'm having plenty of protein I am a much better eater in general.

You'd be better eating fruit whole than blending it.

Thanks @MGee123 @Chelyanne!
Yeah that’s a good idea about switching the chocolate for cereal bar or fruit! And also making my own takeaways, I’m obsessed with McDonald’s sweet chilli chicken wraps since the beginning so definitely my craving but I’ll definitely try and recreate those!
Ahh that sounds lovely! Wished I liked food 😩 struggle but time with the texture of things! I can eat an apple but for all other fruits I struggle to like eat it whole that’s why I’ve been having the smoothies to get fruit down me some way or another! (I’ve been saying for years I need to go and see a professional for my weird relationship with food, I would love to just be able to eat anything) that’s why I have the hidden veggie pasta too almost every night because I can’t stand the texture of veg plus it’s still making me feel really sick! I also take pregnancy vitamins, thanks for the suggestions guys, going to try and get over my food habits/fears, no time like the present!
