Ovulating after Chemical Pregnancy (Early MC)

Hi everyone,
I am devastated that I have experienced a chemical pregnancy. HCG levels are decreasing daily (has been evident on blood tests and urine samples) however I am still testing faintly positive.

Due to the presence of hormone still in my body, my OPK (ovulation tests) are showing strong positives - the same as they would during an LH surge.

We would like to try again ASAP and have been advised that fertility increases following a miscarriage and there is no medical reason to wait.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can determine when I am ovulating again? As at the monent my OPKs are unreliable.. any advice or anyone who has been in the same boat? When did you start trying again after MC?

Thank you xx

Have you had a period yet? Not the mc bleed? Mine didn't stabiliser until after my first period after my chemical.
Hope things resolve for you soon xx

@MamaMoonbeam I haven't had a normal period since the bleed, it is actually still happening very lightly.

Did you manage to get pregnant after your CP?
Xx

@everysunrise i did! 2 cycles after 😊 currently 7 weeks! Take it easy and try to relax. My cycles went from 31 days to 35 days, so that's something to be aware of too xx

I'm sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. I had one in January and then the opks did work for me but I ovulated very late that month, around day 20 instead of 14 as normal. We got pregnant again that month (so no period in between) and am now 13 weeks. I hope things work out for you soon!

I had a mc at 9+3 in July, took 3 weeks to get a negative test and cycles returned to regular soon after that. We took a break before ttc again. Had a chemical in November then BFP in December, 24+2wk atm. I've never tracked ovulation.

Give the tracking a break for a bit and just enjoy couple time, if you don't fall pregnant after a couple of cycles then go back to tracking.

@MamaMoonbeam congratulations, that's amazing news! Also gives me some hope 🙏 best wishes for your pregnancy!! Xx

@Quolla congratulations to you too!! This really does make me feel more positive about my experience. Can I ask, how does your midwife calculate your due date following a CP?

@Chelyanne thank you for sharing your experience and congratulations on your pregnancy! Coincidentially after my msg yesterday the OPKs have gotten fainter and I now have confidence being able to use them again in future! Best wishes for your pregnancy!

@everysunrise to be honest, I didn't tell my midwife about the CP as it happened so fast, so I said that was my last period and am going that, it'll only be a week or so off so I'm OK with it!
