Cyclogest for recurrent losses - time to come off!

Hi, I have been on Cyclogest since getting a BFP at 3 weeks 5 days. I am now 13 weeks and 4 days after suffering three consecutive pregnancy losses.

I've had my dating scan and everything was perfect, placenta was normal and baby looked happy and comfy.

I wondered when other's stopped progesterone for recurrent losses? The nurse at my fertility clinic said I can stop them now... don't need to taper off, but I am genuinely terrified to stop.

Any experiences would be gratefully received

I stopped at 16 weeks as that's when my consultant told me to but a midwife told me that it's fine to stop before then because by 12 weeks it's done it's job.

I had them when pregnant with DS following IVF. I was terrified to stop but decided to have a few day reducing them rather than just stopping. Was given the ok by my clinic to do so if it made me feel better about it!

I had them through IVF, started reducing them at 13 weeks as was terrified of just stopping completely.

I had them for my IVF pregnancy. My clinic had just changed their guidelines & told me to go cold turkey at 8 weeks when I attended for my viability scan. To be honest, I was very relieved to stop them (as were my knickers!). Everything was absolutely fine and I'm now 35 weeks.

Thank you everyone, it's nerve wracking isn't it. I'm convinced they're making my sickness worse and impacting on my sleep and energy levels so I am eager to stop. I think I'll go down to one a day for the next week and then stop. Scary scary stuff!
