I had period like pains last night at 8pm
Then at 9:30pm bloody show
And period pains continue to Intensify throughout night
They are about 15/ 20 min part and last about 57 seconds each time
The pain is real and seems these last few hours to be worse than the first few hours
I've been taking paracetamol every 4 hours since 8pm

I've been sleeping in between each one for 10/15 mins all night so already feel shattered and emotional

Not really sure when I should be phoning hospital or going in?!

Not 100% on why I done this post just scared and feel very overwhelmed that it's finally happening x

My advice would always be to call labour ward and tell them exactly this, and they will tell you what to do and when. They will either want to see you, or tell you when they want to see you. But they will also reassure!

Sounds very positive though, good luck!

How exciting op, you're going to meet your baby soon! 😊 midwives will always be happy to advise you over the phone, but I went in once I couldn't talk through the contractions anymore, only breathe through them. They were about 4 mins apart each time. But I did only live 20 mins from the birth centre.

I'd give the delivery ward/ birth Centre a call now as even thought they sound quite spaced apart they're fairly long contractions.
Good luck!

OP, if you're already exhausted as you've been up all night then call triage. A similar thing happened to me in my first labour and I was utterly exhausted.

I went in and was only 3cm so they tried to send me home but in the end they gave me some pethidine which took the edge off the pain and knocked me out so I could rest.

Good luck!
