With my son I gained 4 stone (56lbs) but I took eating to the extreme!!

With this pregnancy I started at 2 stone heavier than I did with my son and now 24 weeks and 1.5 stone (21lbs) up.

Not that it really matters but I don't want to get like I did with my son where found it difficult to lose the excess weight after!

How much weight did you gain or have gained so far? Xx

I was trying to remember this for my 2 today and for the life of me can't.

I am currently 28 weeks, weighed myself for the first time today and I'm + 20lbs but I was already a stone heavier than I was when I started with DC1.

I didn't lose all the weight between DC1 and DC2, came off quite well after DC2 but had started putting some back on... to be fair I was 8.5 stone (+/- 7lb depending on how well behaved I was being) before I started and have never had the energy to get back to that since the sprogs came along.

MaverickDanger · 24/04/2021 21:15

19kg which I think is about 3 stone. I lost 11kg within a week (was all fluid) & have about 6kg left to lose to get me back to my pre-pregnancy weight. DS is four months.

Ideally I’d be able to lose another stone on top of that. I’m breastfeeding still and feel like all the weight is clinging to me, and I’m just starving all the time!

OhTheTastyNuts · 24/04/2021 21:15

About 1.5 stone each time.

Aliceandthemarchhare · 24/04/2021 21:16

A lot Blush

I have lost 3 stone but would like to lose another 3.

Vetyveriohohoh · 24/04/2021 21:16

About 1.5-2st each time, didn’t lose any of it

GrandTheftWalrus · 24/04/2021 21:16

12lbs with my daughter. Currently 37+4 and have gained 3lbs.

LemonRoses · 24/04/2021 21:18

I didn’t, I lost weight each time ending up looking like a rake who’d swallowed a beach ball. Sadly, breastfeeding helped me regain my figure.

BurningBenches · 24/04/2021 21:20

Dd1 started at a healthy BMI and gained 4.5st.

Dd2, 3 and DS overweight/obese gained a stone. I was lighter than when I started after they were born.

I'm 33wks now, obese and have gained 12lb so far. Mostly in the last few weeks.

My babies have ranged from 8lb11-9lb10

AnneLovesGilbert · 24/04/2021 21:23

About 25lbs. Lost it all within a couple of months, probably from breastfeeding.

Anonmousse · 24/04/2021 21:23

I put on 2st with DD but lost most of it straight away when she was born. I was lighter than before when I got pregnant with DS and put on 1.5st and lost it all and some more in the first 3 months, but i had PND and the anti depressants made me lose my appetite.

MuchTooTired · 24/04/2021 21:23

4 stone in total, 3 stone was babies/water retention/placenta etc (twin pregnancy, a stone was babies!) and the other stone was M&S shortbread biscuits.

The biscuit stone has never left me (they’re 3 now) and has made at least one new stone friend if not two Blush

Gemmaemilyx · 24/04/2021 21:24

Wow!!! I don't know how some of you have gained so little!

I was all baby and no water with my son (hoping that's not the case this time 🤣) and I vaguely remember after about 1 week 1.5 stone dropped off, then another half a stone a week or so later but then that extra 2 stone clung on forever 🤣

Over 4st DD1, lost it all then gained around 2st DD2.

theculture · 24/04/2021 21:24

2 1/2 stone (16kg) both times - whilst being sick for months and months

Came off slowly whilst breastfeeding and eating cake Smile

Chelyanne · 24/04/2021 21:28

1st 4st. 2nd 4st. 3rd 2.5st. 4th & 5th (twins) I stopped weighing at 2st gain, was only 7lb heavier after birth than pre pregnancy so not too bad. This one I'm getting close to 2st gain at 23+4 Sad, struggling to exercise as much as pre-pregnancy due to spd/pgp rearing it's ugly head and eating too many treats (need to sort that out).

GrandTheftWalrus · 24/04/2021 21:29

I don't understand how I have put on so little as I am eating for about 32. I do have 3 stone to shift after baby is here though. Hoping it won't take too long.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/04/2021 21:30

I have 13 months between our two and put on over 5 stone across the two pregnancies! I mainlined carbs with pregnancy 1 as it was the only way to stop being sick. I did lose it all again after DS was born, however.

Gemmaemilyx · 24/04/2021 21:32

Hopefully not if you're almost full term and only put on 3lb 😱😱😱

I have had hungry weeks where I've put on a lot in a short space and then stayed the same for most of the weeks! Hopefully i won't put on toooo much more fingers crossed anyway ! Good luck on the birth!! Xx

11lbs, but I had HG which stopped me eating most days

BurningBenches · 24/04/2021 21:35

The sad part about mine is as soon as they're born, I gain it all back despite breastfeeding, exclusively, all the time!! Losing weight while breastfeeding was the biggest swizz ever for me 😂

bunglebee · 24/04/2021 21:35

Absolutely no idea. I never weighed myself during pregnancy. I tried to eat healthily and reasonably and didn't worry about my weight until several months postpartum.

Dyra · 24/04/2021 21:36

15kg or about 33lb. A lot of it was water weight which came off within a few weeks of birth. Breastfeeding and walking to baby groups put me 10kg under my pre-pregnancy weight 6 months post birth. Alas, then there was a global pandemic hit. Without anywhere I wanted to walk to, it's all piled back on again

GrandTheftWalrus · 24/04/2021 21:38

I weigh first thing in morning, scales in same place and with not a stitch on. So hopefully it's been accurate. My belly is now hitting the wall Grin

EvilOnion · 24/04/2021 21:41

#1 4.5st
#2 1lb (learnt my lesson this time but hadn't lost the weight from #1 7 years prior Blush)

cheesebubble · 24/04/2021 21:41

It really depends on how much you weighed in the first place, the skinnier you are, the lower you're BMI, the more you're supposed to gain, and the other way around.

12kgs with my first.

11kgs now and I'm 37+4.
