i've had my 12 week scan and they've found a subchoronic haemorrhage (i have had no bleeding) it's next to the sac and it's 12mm x10 mm. The sonographer said it's fine and to not do anything differently just to re check at 20 week scan. however i'm reading and people go on bed rest?? is this true?? i'm worried now Confused
(i had this with my son too and i didn't go on bed rest it absorbed but i did have bleeding with him)

That’s really small - bed rest etc is when it’s a lot bigger. I had similar size and it did reabsorb by next scan x

@Amz6219 oh that's brilliant!! did you carry on per usual? i have a 1 year old so hard to "rest" Grin

I had 2 small subchrionic haematoma picked up at my 12wk scan. I actually started bleeding during the scan which was the first I knew about it.

I had a huge bleed on the couch and passed a large clot while at the clinic. Then bled for about 4 days followed by brown blood for a number of weeks.

The Dr told me to take it easy but that there was no evidence of total bed rest really helping. I took it easy carrying my then 16m old and got my husband to do all the lifting but I didn't stay in bed. I would have if it had been recommended obviously but it wasn't and I have 4 children.

By my 20wk scan there was no sign of it, and I'm now 33wks.

Whilst I was bleeding I didn't have any pain.

I thought you said cm at first, which would have been the size of mine. I did end up on bed rest for 5 months. My daughter was being fit and healthy at 8 months gestation.

And I had twice daily Progesterone injections, but that might be because it was an IVF pregnancy.

@BurningBenches that's amazing that it cleared up! any sign of blood is terrifying tho! and @TeamCuthbert the sonographer didn't say whether it was considered small or large she just wasn't that bothered about it!! i hope it clears up 😫 here's the picture of it on the scan!!

Yep I just carried on as normal! I have a 2 year old so know what you mean! Still picking him etc because no one told me otherwise, then by next scan it’d gone x
