Hi, I'm currently 5w 3d pregnant. This is my second pregnancy, I was pregnant last year but had a chemical miscarriage at 5w and I'm nervous that's it's happening again.
I've had some intermittent brown spotting only when I wipe. A couple of days ago there was quite a bit of pinkish spotting when I wiped but it's calmed down now. I'm also having some mild cramps intermittently as well. Either symptom on their own probs isn't cause for concern but having both cramps and spotting is making me nervous. I also haven't had any other pregnancy symptoms yet like sore boobs or morning sickness but it's still early days I suppose.
With my last miscarriage I had really bad cramps and then the heavy bleeding started a few hours later and was spotting pink for about a week right up until it happened. This time is different but doesn't necessarily mean it's a successful pregnancy.
I haven't bothered registering my pregnancy with the EPU yet as they were pretty useless the last time and could offer no help whatsoever. They even tried to tell me as I was heavily bleeding that everything might still be okay... I know I can't get a scan until I'm at least 7 weeks but it's so frustrating having to wait another 2 weeks before I can get a scan. Is there any other way I'd be able to tell if I'd had a miscarriage at home? Would taking another pregnancy test and seeing how dark the line is tell me anything or should I just register and wait for a scan?
