Only left breast is itchy and sore?

I'm 16 weeks and the past few days only my left breast is itchy and sore - and I've noticed like a dried yellow discharge on my nipple that I tried to pick away but it was too sore and started to bleed slightly.
With it only being my left breast I'm worried it's not pregnancy and related to something else. Did anyone else have this?

Pregnancy eczema is a thing. I remember getting a dermatologists appointment for something similar, as my doctor saw it and said, ‘Breastfeeding is hard enough!’

I'm not sure if it is my skin as it feels more 'internal' if you know what I mean? I've worried myself stupid googling now too x

I have been threatening to have my left boob cut off because it is so itchy so often that it is driving me nuts. I don't have a rash or the discharge or any signs of cancer (orange peel etc and I've checked and checked for lumps) so I haven't had it checked. But its also my 3rd pregnancy so I don't think its skin stretching or anything. No idea whats causing it but I'd like it to stop.

If you have rash and discharge though it might be worth getting checked. Better safe than sorry, especially since once your milk comes in it will be much harder to detect any lumps.

Please keep us posted though.

I had the same at similar time for a few weeks too, my right nipple was insanely itchy, flaky and going crusty at times. It ended up twice the size of my left. I'm now 33weeks and the itching has settled although often still itchy and dry and the left is catching up in size.
I was also worried at the time but definitely a pregnancy thing for me and I'm hoping my nips go to a more normal size after birth 🤣

Yes, I had something similar. I think it’s always best to get it checked out and to be persistent if it doesn’t get better.

Thanks everyone. I've scared myself by googling now. I think if it's not better in a week I'll book to get it checked out. If it was both I think I'd be less worried but it's the fact it's just one that's making me uneasy x

Oh, don’t Google! It’s always something awful if you Google! Let us know how you get on. X
