Positive pregnancy test but nothing on US. Too early to tell?

So I had a ruptured ectopic early March. I remember having a couple of negative HPTs late March. But then starting at 13 of April, I started testing positive. The line definitely seems to be growing darker every couple of days.

They told me to get an early ultrasound next time I get pregnant to rule out another ectopic and here we are. My US is clean. No ectopic but no intrauterine pregnancy either. Not even endometrial thickening. My question is, how early did you get to see anything on the US?

I know the possibilities, early miscarriage, too early to tell, and of course ectopics. But I’d love to here from you guys from some peace of mind.

Sorry for your loss @Amoh ♥️

I think the earliest you can see the sac is from 6 weeks? How early are you?

I'm just going through a miscarriage myself . Sending you lots of hope xx

Thank you! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage that must’ve been hard.

The problem is I don’t know how far along I am. Never got my period after the ectopic -fell pregnant right away I guess.

Ahh I see!! Maybe wait a month and book in for a private scan if you can? Most places will rebook you for free in 2 weeks time if they can't see anything first time round 🤞🏻

MorgeMooney · 19/04/2021 17:25

If you were getting negatives late March then it's probably just far too early for anything to be visible.

Amoh · 19/04/2021 22:54

The problem is, that one time I had an ectopic I didn’t even miss a period. And it still ruptured.

Agreed. I’m wondering how far along I am without an LMP to count back to.

If you started testing positive on the 13th, then it's waaaay too early to see anything on ultrasound. Book a scan for 2 weeks after the first positive test, so 27th at the earliest.
Best of luck! ❤️

Amoh · 19/04/2021 23:56

@eloiseislost thank you for that time frame. It does put things in preservative for me. I guess I’m a little to eager to find out. Who isn’t though.

Did you have the dildocam?
I had similar to you - ectopic- and the view was unclear until I had an internal scan.

Amoh · 21/04/2021 11:26

@GrimDamnFanjo you’re absolutely right. They did the transvaginal ultrasound today and they found an intrauterine pregnancy. Can’t believe it’s true but it is!

Thrilled for you!
After my two ectopic I begged for an internal when my US could give details!
Hope it's all smooth sailing now x

@Ell17 As of today I’m 5 weeks +1. That means it happened right after the rupture. Truly amazes me.
