So I'm 29 weeks pregnant and noticed my breathing is becoming worse I know that as the weeks go on it does as everything is being squashed. This is my third baby and do not remit being this bad even lying in bed I'm out of breath let alone walking around ect. Should I contact my doctor? Anyone else got this or had it? Thank you

I've had this during my pregnancy, I felt so breathless and like I just couldn't breathe in deeply at all. I found it worse lying in bed. It's a horrible feeling! I believe it's with the baby growing the uterus is being pushed up.

I'm 35 weeks now and my baby has turned head down and since he has it's gotten a lot better. I still get out of breath easier if I'm out and about but not getting that difficult to breathe feeling when sitting/lying down anymore!

Breathlessness can be an indicator of low iron so might be worth a blood test to check your iron levels and your ferritin levels.

Similarly, it could just be lack of space but always worth getting checked.

I'm exactly the same. 28w 3rd baby.

In bed last night was awful and I started to feel a bit panicky.

I've just had my 28w bloods taken on Friday so will wait to see the results of those at my appointment on Wednesday as PP said could suggest low iron levels.

Have you recently had your bloods done ?

Yep, I've been surprised at how breathless I've been doing small tasks, now at 33 weeks I find some days are worse than others and I'm.assuming that's just baby's position and how much room is left for my lungs!
