Hellooooo 🖐🖐

Where are all the FTM's who are pregnant? How many weeks are you? How are you finding it?

Hey ! I’ve just found out I’m pregnant. My last period was on the 13th March so from what I can gather that’s 5 weeks 5 days ??
Mild Nausea, extreme tiredness and sore breasts. I’ve had a bit of mild twinges / cramps these last couple of days though that was on an 18 mile bike ride...
I’m trying not to worry that something will go wrong and also trying not to symptom spot / google. Easier said than done !
How about you ?

Sair44411 · 17/04/2021 14:43

Hey!!

I'm 5 + 4, still really early!

I've been extremely tired, more tired than I've ever experienced. Get to about 2pm and feel like I could sleep for a week!

I've had some mild nausea, a little bit of cramping but from what I've read I think that's normal.

It's a bit lonely being pregnant in this early period. I'm trying not to tell anyone and my husband is still in the 'extreme shock/ freak out' stage.

How are you feeling?

vixey · 17/04/2021 15:48

hi, im a ftm, currently 10 weeks and 5 days, and not enjoying being pregnant. i suffer with panic attacks and generalised anxiety disorder because of abuse I suffered as a teenager.
I had one week of horrendous cramps and a dr telling me 'it could be an ectopic but he can't tell until I'm further on or have more symptoms so just hope for the best' then I had three weeks of extreme sickness where I was in hospital having fluids and anti sickness. the past week I've been having panic attacks again and feeling anxious every second of the day because I have to wait 13 days (atm) for my 12 week scan and although everything was OK at 8 weeks I'm terrified it won't be ok at 12 weeks. I mean what if I've had a mmc. I've been told I told my work colleagues too soon and I shouldn't have done, however I work in a high risk environment using restraints on very strong people when they are at crisis point, so I had to tell them to protect myself and my baby. I've been told it's tempting fate by telling people 😕 I'm just so anxious about everything. I dont know whether I need a scan earlier to reassure myself tbh. xxx

Hi, first time mum here. Currently 35+6 with twins and I am keeping my podgy fingers crossed that at my constantly appointment Tuesday they give me a eviction date 🤣.

Girl is struggling.

lamptastic · 17/04/2021 16:03

36+5, hating life at the moment. The final trimester feels like the longest one!

Going back for another growth scan at 39+3, hopefully with a plan for eviction if she's still not budged.

LunaDreams · 17/04/2021 16:57

Hi all! I'm 16+2 weeks and feeling ok overall. Still very tired all the time and have had quite bad anxiety so really looking forward to feeling baby move soon hopefully 🤞. Pregnancy is definitely a rollercoaster though!

Luckyelephant1 · 17/04/2021 17:03

27+5 weeks FTM here. Feeling pretty good other than being more tired than usual all the time. Was very anxious early on in pregnancy but a bit more relaxed now. Time is going really quickly and I feel a bit overwhelmed at how much I still need to buy and organise, but otherwise very much looking forward to being a mum! How is everyone feeling about childbirth? I'm not really worried about labour/birth itself but more about the recovery tbh.

May2021Mummy · 17/04/2021 18:23

🙋🏻‍♀️ I'm 33+5 today and on holiday from work for 2 weeks before my maternity leave starts. Hoping to get organised before I get too uncomfortable. We are having a boy 💙 and I've had words to try and convince him not to be late 😂😂

May2021Mummy · 17/04/2021 18:23

Also a FTM sorry forgot to say

Taenia · 17/04/2021 21:17

FTM here too! Currently 7.5 weeks :)

Have not managed to keep it too much of a secret as.. I told my closest friends and my line manager so I can have time off for appointments but my DH (now that the freaking out stage has passed) is super excited and telling more friends than I expected. I'm not too fussed as at least he will have support then if the worst happens.. but I'm trying to be positive that all will be fine :)

The level of anxiety is something else! Very thankful for my DH who has just been a superstar so far with looking after me when I've not felt great or cleaned the house when I've needed a nap. Feeling like a very lucky lady :)

DH had never seen sure about having kids and it was deffinatley more me who pushed for it obviously he was on board (I didn't force him honest!) . So I am plesently surprised :)

xoxochellexoxo · 17/04/2021 21:19

FTM here too and im 27+6 i feel like since im 28 weeks in the morning and officially in the third trimester that it will be the slowest 12 weeks of my life lol

Cornertakenquickly · 17/04/2021 21:30

FTM and 20+4 today. Just passed halfway. So excited. Starting to relax now that I've had my 20 week scan. I honestly never felt I'd get to this point

Ednadidit · 17/04/2021 22:04

13 weeks and starting to exit the HG tunnel. I feel a lot more hopeful now and after having a scan I feel pregnant, rather than just chronically ill. I’ve had six weeks off work and I’m so weak after spending 6 weeks lying down and waiting for the world to stop spinning!

Lucky to have a very supportive husband who has taken on everything - I tell him when I need to eat and he provides me with almost exactly the right thing. No-one’s cleaned the bathroom properly for 6 weeks though 😬

DizSquiz · 17/04/2021 22:26

Hello FTM here am 10+2 :)

Horehound · 17/04/2021 22:29

FtM to a 19m old and currently 7+4 so early days still but feeling sick and exhausted

Babo993 · 18/04/2021 00:11

Hi! FTM here and 40 + 1, honestly feel like the 3rd trimester has lasted about 5 years 😂 baby doesn't seem to want to come anytime soon either! I was so nervous and scared at first but now I just want her here so I can have my body back 😂

mrsawhite · 19/04/2021 09:18

Hello

Tentatively posting. Am about 7/8 weeks. The anxiety is bloody awful. Had a MMC last year at 12 week scan. After going for an 8 week scan where all was well. Getting a lot of cramps. But sometimes they are more like digestive ones? Keep prodding my boobs to check they are still tender (yes I feel quite mad)

Babo993 · 19/04/2021 11:17

@mrsawhite sorry to hear about your mc last year. Congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm pretty sure I had cramps quite a bit all the way through my pregnancy (40+3 as of today 😩) I didn't get sore boobs but my nips felt like I was dragging them across gravel right they way up till about 25/26 weeks! Pregnancy does strange things to our bodies 😂

mrsawhite · 19/04/2021 11:42

It really does! This bit just feels odd. Like I don't look pregnant. I'm not sure what is normal and what isn't. Don't really have any real signs except the boobs. I was really tired but that seems to have gone now. Dreading the 12 week scan as much as looking forward to it!

Tokyo87 · 19/04/2021 13:55

Hello everyone, I'm a first time mum too and baby is due at the end of September. Currently 17+3. I thought I'd stop worrying once I had my 12 week scan but now I am just worrying for the 20 week one coming up! I've been told this worrying won't stop once their born either 😭😂 Hope everyone's pregnancies are going well xx
