Hello ladies . I had a huge gush of bright red blood at 9 weeks of pregnancy. I called my of gyne she did an ultra sound the baby was fine heart beat was possible. She suggested xomplete bed rest. Next scan is after 2 weeks. After tow days the bleeding is turned into brown discharge. I am extremely worried. Can any one share about their experience ?

I bled with my baby girl and passed some reasonably sized blood clots. I was sent for an emergency scan and everything was fine, they couldn't find the source of the bleed and told me to rest, avoid heavy lifting and sex. She is now 7 months old and doing really well.

Best of luck!

I had a sub chorionic hematoma and bled bright red blood on and off from 5 weeks until around 11 weeks. It was gone by my 12 weeks scan.

I had a very big bleed at 14 weeks. Happened overnight and was just brown spotting by morning. Went for a scan and all was ok and they thought a blood vessel at the edge of the placenta had ruptured which caused a lot of blood as it's fed by so much blood. Rested for a couple of days and all was fine and no more bleeding for the rest of pregnancy

Hi @Linta Smile
I also experienced a bright red gush of blood when I was around 7 weeks. I was sent to the EPU for a scan. All was OK and they told me it was a very small blood clot that hadn’t affected baby and would clear up on its own. I experienced light brown discharge for a couple of weeks that followed my scan. I am now 24+1 along and so far so good. Xx

@Linta I was told to take it easy (luckily it was over my Christmas break from work so I was off anyway) and I was told no sex, no baths or no use of tampons until I had had my 12 week scan Xx

Has anyone taken progesterone in early pregnancy?

I'm currently 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant and terrified. Story is... I had a miscarriage in January so absolutely terrified of loosing this one and every pain is very noticeable. I went to a private gyno to have a scan a few weeks after the miscarriage for answers as the NHS weren't great, he did an internal, all normal, and prescribed me progesterone for when I get caught again.
I'm pregnant again (so happy) but there was a national shortage apparently of cyclogest so got an alternative utogestan, has anyone used this in early pregnancy? What are your experiences? Did you feel it helped?
I need to maybe explain I did have blood in discharge yesterday and only started the prescription then. I have a diminished ovarian reserve (age 38) and my bf has low sperm morphology. I do have a 6 year old.
