Worried about lack of symptoms and low temperature... 6.5 weeks

I was finally starting to feel a bit more relaxed about my pregnancy this week after having an early scan at 5.5 weeks, showing everything normal and as it should be.

However, I went to the hairdressers yesterday where they used a temperature gun because of Covid, and thought it was strange that my temperature seemed so low (about 97.8). I took it with my thermometer when I got home and it was right - my temperature was below my post-ovulation temperatures and basically how it is before I get my period...

Since this temperature worry, I now feel 'not pregnant' and am panicking about my lack of symptoms. I don't feel very bloated anymore, my breasts seem to be less tender and softer even. I thought I escaped morning sickness initially but started to feel nausea on Monday, but it only lasted a couple of days and now I feel fine.

I don't have any other signs of MC like cramping or bleeding. I also took my temperature again this morning as it's more accurate, and it was 98.85 (which is what I would expect, but I did wake up feeling hot as I had an extra blanket because of how cold it is at the moment!). I also took HCG test this morning and line was still very dark and much darker than control line.

Do you think these are signs of something going wrong or am I just overthinking and worrying? Is this worth calling my doctor over?

I think you're overthinking it. I never took my temperature at all, I have felt cold during my pregnancy. Pregnancy symptoms come and go. I'm 17+4 and my symptoms have fluctuated throughout. If there's no bleeding or significant pain just assume everything is okay. I would honestly stop taking temperatures etc as its probably worsening your anxiety - pretty sure the hairdressers thermometer would only show a temperature with one decimal point not two

@Rosieposy89 thank you. I know I usually wouldn’t have taken my temperature and stopped after I got a BFP, but when the hairdresser did it it panicked me! And of course Dr Google says it’s an impending miscarriage so now I’m worrying about everything.

I’ve got a second scan at 8 weeks so I’ll try and hold out until then unless pain or bleeding. I’ve got some mild cramps but nothing out of the ordinary so hopefully all ok.

Just to add that even if you do have cramps, don't panic. I had period like cramps throughout my whole first trimester. I think we need to normalise that it's a very common pregnancy symptom (obviously not the same as sever abdominal pain that needs to be checked out!)
