35 weeks baby has large abdomen

Just had a growth scan as midwife was worried about tailing growth at my last appointment.
Results today showed that baby was measuring big, about 7lb already(currently 35w4d) and had an unusually large abdomen. When I looked at the report afterwards the abdomen measurement was off the chart but hospital didn't want to see me again!

Last 2 midwife checks have shown glucose in urine but this seems to be dismissed as I passed GTT at 25 weeks. Should I be concerned? I know that gestational Diabetes can cause large abdomen in baby.

Sorry to ramble on, but just concerned and felt a little bit like all I got at the hospital was a shrug of the shoulders and sent on my way!

I'm pretty sure it's a sign of a large baby

"Fetuses with larger abdominal circumferences on antenatal ultrasounds are more likely to be macrosomic with birth weight"

Macrosomic just means 'big baby" or bigger than 8 pounds 13. If you're worried, could you ask your health visitor or midwife for reassurance?
