Has anyone had pelvic floor physio during pregnancy?

Hi, I'm pregnant with no.2 and I'm concerned about my pelvic floor. I had NHS pelvic floor physio last time between 9 and 12 months post-partum. This did resolve my symptoms. However I was told my pelvic floor strength was 2/5 so I know it's not in great shape.

I have had a bug recently involving a lot of coughing and I'm not sure if I have been having some small stress incontinence with it or not (I wear a liner all the time anyway). I'm only 15 weeks though. I know I need to get on top of my pelvic floor exercises but thought (private) physio might help reassure and motivate me. Would a physio see me whilst pregnant though or would they expect this to be something that is only done post-partum? Has anyone else had pelvic floor physio during pregnancy and did it help you?

I've been seeing a private physio for pregnancy related hip pain and she also provides pelvic floor support.

She has built pelvic floor exercises into the routine she has given me and also recommends the NHS Squeezy app. I've found the app really useful for reminding me to do them each day.

you can find all you need on the Internet. A physio isn't going to do much in person

yes and it's great. She's made me aware of my muscles and how to use them correctly. it's really helping my pelvic pain. It does involve an internal examination so as long as you are comfortable with that it's worth it
