When did you get a letter for 20 week scan

I had my 12 week scan 4 weeks ago on Tuesday and I'm still waiting for my appointment letter for my 20 week scan? Is it normal for it to take this long, just wandering if I should ring up as I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow and ideally need as much notice as possible to get the time off work.

They made my 20 week scan appointment at my 12 week appointment, this was 8 years ago though.

I was given my letter for the anomaly scan after my dating scan while waiting for bloods.

I was also given my 20 week appointment letter at my 12 week scan so I’d ring to check with them.

Depends where you are, I got my 12 week scan letter about 5 days before the scan, so I'm expecting similar for the next one.

At your dating scan did they print a report with your due date and nt reading. As my 20 week scan was documented on there. It said 20 week anomaly scan booked for 20weeks 6 days so could work it out myself going by the due date given at dating scan

Thanks everyone they said at the 12 week scan they will book and appointment and I'll get a letter but they didn't book it there and then. I'll ring up tomorrow and ask thanks.

We were given the date of the 20 week appt at our 12 week appt.
It was all very romantic as the 12 wk one fell on my birthday and the 20 wk one on my fiancé's!!

I got my next appointment when I went for my 12 week scan. Booked it at reception. This was 2019 and pre covid so could be different now.

I had my ‘12 week’ scan at 14 weeks and then got a letter at just before 16 weeks with the appointment for my 20 week scan.

At my hospital, they work out the schedule quite late. I rang up around 16 weeks after my midwife appointment they just said they hadn't scheduled it yet, but I was definitely on the list to be booked on. I got my letter about a week later for a scan at 20+1 so didn't mean I got seen late or anything. I understand wanting to know the date though, as it gives you something to count down towards / look forward to!
