Hello everyone I just wanted to ask if anyone is concerned about not putting much weight on at all by 4 months. I weighed myself last week and saw a 4 pound gain and after following pampers weight gain guide for my BMI was happy to see I was dead on. I've now looked the following week to see I've lost 2 pounds so I've only actually put 2 pounds on in 4 months. My BMI is normal and healthy pre pregnancy and bump seems to be growing nicely and boobs 🤭 The last time I had my scan the midwife said " no weight gain that's good" so they don't seem to be bothered about me putting weight on. But would be nice to hear other mums experiences of weight gain / loss at 4 months? 🤰🏻

In my first pregnancy I didnt start gaining till 3rd trimester. After delivery I was 2 stone lighter than pre pregnancy. This time I've gained 10kg by 3rd trimester. I really wouldn't worry about it.

I lost weight with all 3 of my pregnancies until about 5 months. My BMI is normal and overall I never gained more than 21 pounds by the time I gave birth. All my babies are healthy.

@Fispi thank you I hear that a lot that sometimes you end up losing more weight after having the baby then what you were before maybe it's something to do with your first pregnancy and how your body can react who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I won't worry over it too much as I think I read it's the last trimester most of the weight goes on as you've said

They always portray weight gain in pregnancy as either lineair or an upwards curve. Mine went wibbly wobbly. I lost weight in the beginning and put on most of it in the last 6 weeks. I ate well and saw a dietituian regularly. Baby was healthy, I lost all the weight (15 kilo's) in the first two weeks post partum.

Just eat healthy, if baby is growing well then don't stress.

Same, my first pregnancy I lost 8kg in the first 12 weeks, my second I didn't put on any weight between my booking in appt at 10 weeks and my 20 week scan, then got massive by 26 weeks. I was back in my clothes pretty quickly after baby 1, who was massive - the midwife says I just have babies who take all my resources! I am overweight though.

I weighed the same full term as when I got pregnant, normal BMI etc and the midwives where never concerned.

I was still wearing my size 10 work skirts at 16 weeks, I could feel the very first flutters and no one knew I was pregnant
By the time I was 10 days overdue I'd put on 4 and a half stone haha my midwife was horrified but I did lose it after

I lost weight at this stage (HG) and have low BMI. I've since put on around 2 stone which appears pretty average. It will catch up with you :-)

I initially lost weight due to sickness. At 32 weeks I had only put on 1kg since pre pregnancy so in effect, I’ve lost weight. I mentioned it to my midwife and she said it’s absolutely fine; as long as I’m not purposely restricting my diet, not to get too hung up on the whole “eating for two” thing. I just physically can’t eat much nowadays!

This is my weight gain chart from last week, it looks terrible! But honestly just don’t worry.

Oh,when I asked the midwife about not gaining weight she just cared that I was getting and keeping down fluid. I told her I was struggling to eat and she wasn't bothered
