I'm 9+5 weeks pregnant and have spent the last 4 weeks in all day sickness hell. I've noticed minor improvements in the last week but it still hasn't gone.

This is probably part and parcel of the hormones and sickness but I also have this constant putrid smell up my nose especially downstairs in my house in the kitchen and living room next to it. It's like I just look at the cushions on the sofa even though I've washed them and feel like they're putrid and infested with smell and germs.

I'm also feeling a total aversion to the colour black?? Which is unfortunate because my sofa and chairs are black Grin . Even my pregnancy app makes me feel nauseous when I look at it...most likely because I associate it with feeling sick. I even bought a new wardrobe right before my sickness started which also makes me feel ill?? It's like my whole house is tainted.

Has anyone else felt these types of bizarre feelings during pregnancy?? Confused

Probably hormones, but have you considered taking a covid test?

I spent hundreds getting a the soft furnishings in my house professionally cleaned when I was pregnant. The smell never left until the baby arrived

@KoalaOok
I presumed Covid had the opposite effect and you lost sense of smell. This has been going on for weeks so I think it's most likely hormones

I had a disgusting smell up my nose for weeks when I had covid op. I'd get a test.

It can just be a change to your sense of smell or taste. It probably is just your hormones but the tests are easy to do for piece of mid.
