6 weeks pregnant.... spotting

Hi all, I really need some advice please

8 days ago I had some light spotting when due my monthly period. Nothing happened and I realised I was late. 2 days ago I took a test and was positive!! I’ve taken 3 more all of which are positive just to be sure!

I’ve had a phone call with the doctor who has confirmed I’m around 5/6 weeks however today I had had some spotting and pink colour discharge! Is this normal?

I’m a first time mum all this is extremely new to me and I can’t get a midwife appointment for 3 weeks so just a tad worried!

Spotting is apparently pretty common in early pregnancy but you should get checked out by your nearest Early Pregnancy Unit. Give the GP a ring back and ask for a referral. Good luck to you!
