Are fathers/birth partners allowed to attend the 12-week scan where you live?

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and atm it looks like I’ll be attending the 12-week scan alone Sad. I’m pretty anxious about it and so DH and I are considering paying for a private scan, to the tune of roughly £100.

As it stands he will be allowed to attend the 20-week scan. Not sure why there are different rules for what is essentially the exact same situation. If anything surely it’s more important for partners to be allowed into the 12 week scan as you’re more likely to get bad news at that one than the 20-week one?

My husband has been able to attend all scans, including the 3 extra growth scans I've had. Very lucky. The rules have changed as previously partners couldn't attend any.

@biscuitcat

Partners can come to all appointments apart from MAU/maternity triage here (South East). DH hasn't actually come to any of the midwife ones but I think especially with the 12 week scan I'd have struggled without him there, I needed someone for a hand hold to manage worries. It seems so unfair to me that there are still places where partners can't come, especially as guidance now says they should be able to be involved at all stages.
Where in the south east are you? My trust is Maidstone/Tunbridge Wells

Our trust allows partner for all scans from Monday, it was 12 and 20 week scan before.
I had 3 MC and they let my partner to 6 and 10 week scan as I have a high risk pregnancy. I asked on the phone beforehand. Honestly with numbers so low I think it’s appalling that women have to go to scans alone.

DH was allowed to come to 12 and 20 week scan and is allowed to come to growth scans too. He's just not allowed to come to consultant or midwife appointments. Seems very unfair that other hospitals are saying no

My other half has been aloud to every appointment / scan. All my midwife appointments are actually home based xx

@AngeloMysterioso it's Frimley Health trust, so a little way from you I think? (Surrey/Berkshire/Hampshire areas)
