Hey all

Im 12 weeks pregnant with my second child and I've not experienced this before, It not heart burn or indigestion imo.

It only started about an hour or so ago, feels like I have something lodged in my throat when I swallow, drink or eat. Although I know I definitely do not.

It's an uncomfortable feeling when I do any swallowing or gulping and makes eating very uncomfortable, just tried to eat and couldn't finish as each mouth ful is uncomfortable as i get that horrible feeling.

Any one experienced this before or know what it could possibly be? Preggo related?? I've tried Rennies and a yogurt. Not working, although it's not too annoying in general I really dont want to dread meal times as I'm only managing a small amount of food as it is due to getting sick alot.

Thanks all

Hi OP, when you say your throat do you mean in your neck or at the top of your chest? I had something similar start up at 13 weeks - it's silent reflux basically indigestion /heartburn but without the burning feeling, I had never heard of it before but it was extremely uncomfortable as I was thoroughly miserable with it for a few weeks until I spoke to my GP and had omeprazole prescribed, that helps quite a bit. If the issue persists I would definitely call your GP.

Neck and chest area really, feels like my esophagus. Got pretty panicked at first! But then realised it was only happening when I was swallowing or eating. Thanks, I'll give my gp a call if it continues
