Should I worry about too many kicks/punches?

Hello lovely ladies, I’m super anxious as baby has become more active week 30 with huge kicks and punches.
Tonight for over 2 hours I was being kicked and punched madly.. I did call for advice and was told bare with it as babies become more active around week 30 and that midwife would me more worried about lack of movements...

I can’t stop worrying about tangled cord as you read this happens.. up again after just 2 hours of rest, baby boy has decided it’s kicking, hiccups and punchy time again

Anyone else experience this sort of over activity? First pregnancy, low pappA, lots of potential risks but so far things have been ok...I’m 41 and many previous miscarriages which obviously makes me a super anxious mum to be

My kids all had full on dance parties around 30 weeks and they came out fine. Later, they get bigger and squished in more and move less. I think it's all good.

Being anxious is also normal, I think. You just want to see them to know they're okay. Sounds like your baby is doing great. Best wishes for the next 10 weeks!

If you’re still not happy ring back and insist on bribing seen. A mother’s instinct is strong

I did read that babies are at their 'peak' movement wise at 32 weeks and your verging on that. Also I think when you become away of something like this you really focus on it and feel every little movement you might not of noticed before.

I’m now 32 weeks and baby’s movements have increased A LOT. Apparently movement peaks around this time

Literally bang on 30 weeks I had the same thing. She’d always been active but I have 2 or 3 days where it felt like she wouldn’t stop moving, all day wriggling around and punching. I’m now 32 weeks and she’s back in to a more normal rhythm. As everyone has said (and I did extensive anxious googling too!) they hit their peak activity around this time so I think it’s quite normal. But as everyone else said, if you’re really worried get it checked out.

SunnySideUp2020 · 05/04/2021 10:14

Mine did the same.
We were a little concerned but she was always good.
Now 40w2 and still getting some crazy moments! I think some babies are just very active!

I've been having "baby disco" almost constantly, I think he's just a wriggler! Currently 35 weeks and the kicks are still there but are less jabby as he has less room to move about, about a month ago he had enough room for a big swing and a kick, it's now more muted like a stretch. As long as it's a pattern of activity, which it sounds like it is, then that's ok. Hope you start feeling some reassurance soon

My baby does this every now and again. I’m now 40 weeks.
I think it’s just because of changing position... if his hands/feet were facing in towards your spine and now they’re facing outwards you will feel it a lot more probably.

Meg2021 · 05/04/2021 21:26

I got checked out and they said all was ok... well something to do with uterus pressure being high on side but that was a conversation they kept to themselves, they told me all is ok.

Baby was actually still punching me when I saw him in screen 😂

Hot water bottle, painkillers... I’m trying to get a break from the pain baby is causing xx
