Hi all.

I am new to net mums but wonder if you can help? I am 7 weeks pregnant. Our first pregnancy with our three year old daughter was a normal one.

This pregnancy has not been.I had dark brown discharge and slight bleeding. The bleeding has stopped but the brown discharge hasn’t, although it only comes out on the tissue. Went for a scan but my uterus was retroverted so things were inconclusive. Recent blood tests show that HCG levels are doubling over 48 hours so I’m due for another scan early next week.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Thank you 😊

I had this- I think it was some kind of implantation bleeding. I'm sure everything is fine but I know the paranoia!

I had this throughout both of my pregnancies and everything was fine. Your cervix becomes very vascular during pregnancy so light bleeding isn't uncommon at all. Try not to worry too much because no matter what is going on it's out of your hands anyway. Chances are excellent that everything is perfectly fine.

I had brown and pink light bleeding/spotting between 5 and 8 weeks with all of my pregnancies.
Had a scan with 2 of them and doctors confirmed it was left over blood from implantation. Along with the foetus burying deeper.

@Love230917

I also have a retroverted uterus and I've bled or had brown discharge every day of my pregnancy and I'm 7 weeks.

Baby's heartbeat has been seen so I'm just trying not to worry, bleeding in the first trimester is quite common! I have a follow up scan on Tuesday just to make sure everything's fine as I'm still spotting but try and not worry xx
