Tests positive then negative then positive. Am I pregnant?

I know it's rare to get a false positive but my tests are all over the place and I'm confused. I tested positive one night, then next morning with fmu was negative. Later that day positive twice. Next day, faint lines twice then the following 2 days absolutely negative. Thought I'd had a chemical. Then today a blazing positive in the afternoon, then tonight a faint positive on a cheapie and a frer and 1-2 on a digital.

I know tests can vary depending on strength of urine but that doesn't seem to be what's happening here as the fmu was negative and when I hold it longer it can still be negative or faint. It's all very random.

Can anyone help? Has this happened and you turned out to be pregnant?

You are testing at all random points of the day and likely to get some negatives as your urine dilutes throughout the day/or the test may be different. You’ve had several positives now and to even get one false positive is extremely rare never mind several.

I’d take the positive as positive and get in touch with the midwife to get registered, book a reassurance scan for 6-7 weeks to confirm - congrats.

Analysethat Thanks for replying. I phoned midwife this morning. She reassured me that I am pregnant, so I'll believe it now. Lol! I'm only 4 weeks so I have to phone back later in the week to see how things are and discuss what happens next if everything is progressing as it should. This is because I'm 48!
