Yes it's fine

Esssa · 01/04/2021 20:33

Paracetamol is the one thing you are allowed in pregnancy. I took it all the way through.

LadyBillyBon · 01/04/2021 20:34

Not sure what you were googling to not find anything but if you literally type "Can you take paracetamol during pregnancy"
It literally comes up at the top... And every link after that...

8dpwoah · 01/04/2021 20:36

It's about the only thing that you can take 😂 which is a shame as it does nothing for me other than make me feel sick.

But yes OP, stick to the dosing guidelines and maybe see your GP a bit earlier than you would if not pregnant if a couple of doses doesn't shift it, but it's fine to take.

LadyBillyBon · 01/04/2021 20:37

Also not sure why you'd doubt the NHS website but accept people's answers on here 🤷🏼‍♀️

It is considered safe but best kept to a minimum.
What type of pain do need it for? There may be other things that could help long term.

l16bxt · 01/04/2021 20:55

Wow @LadyBillyBon I simple asked a question... there was no need to be so rude... I never said I didn't trust the nhs so please just piss off! Iv seen enough girls getting upset by people like you commenting unnecessarily comments...
But anyways thank you ladies and @Chelyanne Iv been suffering with really bad back ache and head ache 😣

I find because I hate paracetamol I wait too long to take it and it makes it harder to shift something and I end up having to take another dose, so if you have a couple and plenty of water before bed hopefully you'll get a good night's sleep and won't need any more.

Chelyanne · 01/04/2021 21:24

You can only take the paracetamol for a few days without speaking to the GP.

Try a hot water bottle for your back or heat patches, the heat is really helpful. I remember getting a lot of headaches, you could try increasing your water intake. I know it can be a bit annoying as you're at the loo so often as it is.

@RizzleRazzle

What were you Googling?
This is my point. They're saying they don't trust it? So asking people on here instead 😂

I had to have one the other night as I couldn't handle the pain. But now I don't feel as guilty.(thanks for the reassurance guys) I had an early scan yesterday and all was well we are so over the moon and we seen the little heart beat flicker ❤️

I suffered horendous headaches as a pregnancy symptom, took paracetamol daily. Since start of the 2nd trimester tho they have subsided and i have barely taken any, but am now 34 weeks just had a scan and check over and everything is fine. Do not feel guilty. The stress being in pain causes is probably more damaging as long as you use correctly!

l16bxt · 02/04/2021 08:12

@PFin thank you 😊
I'm only in my first trimester but with having a miscarriage 13 months ago I just want to be extra careful xx
