Hey everyone, so ive just found out im 4 weeks pregnant and have just started a job as a student dental nurse! My concern is after my 3 month probation i will then be enrolled ontò the course and if i dont complete it when i get back from maternity leave i will owe them £400! Also im not sure what my rights will be about maternity pay? I just wish i never left my old job now! Wonder if i can go back? Any advice would be amazing!

R.e hep b vaccine, are you sure you can’t have the second dose while pregnant?

You only other option is to double glove, be extra careful with every patient, treat every patient like they have hep b- don’t de-assemble the LA, ask the dentist to do it and don’t be scared to ask. - patient usually do, but don’t always have to disclose their medical conditions such as hep b.

Also, clarify with your employer who pays for your indemnity and registration, because that will be a good couple/few hundred out of your pocket if you need to fund these.
