Help! Odd question...is it the baby?

So I’m 18 weeks pregnant and on the larger side I put my finger in my belly button earlier (out of curiosity if it was hard underneath from baby bump) and it left like hard veins...someone please reassure me that it’s not possible for that to be the baby’s arm or leg I was poking around! I know it sounds odd I’ve worried over everything this pregnancy and it just felt odd! I’m sure the amniotic fluid would make it impossible to feel them but anxious that I’ve hurt the baby by having a poke around what felt like limbs?! Now 18 weeks and no longer have symptoms but equally still haven’t felt the flutters yet (first pregnancy) so worrying over everything as I have nothing telling me the baby is okay x

It’s all pretty well cushioned, you won’t be able to hurt the baby just by poking your stomach. Soon enough they will kick back when you do that!

Thankyou it’s hard not to worry about everything 🥰💙

I know, it’s hard not to be anxious. You’ll start feeling movement in the next few weeks and I think I it’s a bit easier to relax after that as you can feel that they’re okay in there.

It won’t hurt babe by having a poke, further along in pregnancy the midwives will feel the bump to check babes positioning and they’re very hands on with it!
