Hi just wondering if anyone had taken lansoprazole throughout their pregnancy with no adverse side effects or harm to the baby? I stopped my usual dose when I found out I was pregnant, now coming up to 20 weeks and rennies, gaviscon etc are not touching the symptoms of heartburn and reflux 😩 gp calling later but I just feel that I'd feel better back on the lansoprazole and wondered if anyone else has had the same issue thanks x x

I had to take lanzoprazole from approx 20weeks too. It was such a relief. I was wakening up at night with acid coming up my throat. I had no further problems and could eat a lot better. I told myself that it's better to take them and be able to eat properly. Plus I worried about the acid destroying my teeth etc

I was on lanzoprazole but the doctor moved me over to omeprazole which has worked wonders.

Thanks! Doc has prescribed Omeprazole so hopefully this will work, how long might it take to kick in? X x

I took omeprazole in both pregnancies, no issues. Can kick in within 24 hours and definitely working well in a couple of days.
