Hello.
Currently 21 weeks, first time mum and not sure if what Iv been feeling is movements or bowels/gas (pregnancy is very glamorous). Every now and again I feel a pop or bubble which lasts a few second a time but then nothing. I haven’t felt any definite movements yet.
When did other people with anterior placentas know they definitely felt the baby? Do you think the pops I have been feeling are the baby moving or just bowel stuff?

Cheers everyone.

Hello,

I am 24+2 with an anterior placenta as well and only now have I started to feel proper movements. What you are describing sounds like baby movements to me, well I assumed mine were when I was 21 weeks.

They do sound like movement, they will continue to get stronger if they are.

I'm 20+1wk with baby number 6. I was worried about less movement as I was told posterior placenta at 16+4 (private scan) and my anomaly scan yesterday they said anterior. I have been feeling movement from before my dating scan (13wk) but they were few and far between. I knew baby was head down before my scan as I have had scratchy movements low down which are her hands up by her head. I feel kicks to the sides going towards my ribs. Having had so many babies I know what to look for and am quite sensitive to her movements.

This is my first baby and I had a low anterior placenta. I felt definite movements from 16 weeks.

@ExcitingTimes2021 I think I've been very lucky with moments - first baby and anterior placenta, have been able to feel him from 16 weeks, although it took a good week of the very subtle movement for me to feel confident it was movement. I imagine within a few days time and the movement becomes a little more regular/pronounced you will be sure what you are feeling is baby :)

I'm also weeks with an anterior placenta and nothing definite yet. Thought maybe I felt something last week but can't be sure and nothing since!

IndigoNC · 31/03/2021 11:30

*also 21 weeks

Hi, I'm 26+4 weeks with an Anterior Placenta. Like you I felt what I thought was Baby moving at around 21 weeks but I couldn't be sure.

I would say around 24.5 weeks is when I really began to notice much obvious and more consistent movements :)

Hi 👋! I'm 21 weeks today with an anterior placenta, on my right hand side. I think I started feeling the more bubbles and pops types of movements about a week ago, and in the last week these have felt more like pokes. For me it has been a bit more obvious as the "pokes" have been around the same area each time I've felt them, spaced a minute or so between and for a few minutes at a time.
There's no pattern at the moment, as I think when she's on the right side, I'm not feeling them as much, but if she's kicking / moving in the centre or to my left I feel them more. I'm hoping the next week or so she continues to get stronger and I'll feel her more regularly.
