Water leakage during sex - 15 weeks

Hi all

Last night me and OH were intimate for the first time in 6 weeks. Due to severe nausea I've not been feeling up to it .

In between it I had what I’d describe as a fluid leakage, I’m sure it wasn’t mines or OHs “excitement” and he hasn’t finished yet. I was just standing up to adjust my positon when it happened, so fluid just poured out of me as if I was doing a mini wee, there was a puddle of water on the bed and I’m worried it could be my waters breaking? Am I sounding crazy or has this happened to anyone x

No one can help you on here really, the best thing to do is contact your midwife or local pregnancy assesment unit, who will advise on what to do next.

@shipperssss - yes I am contacting early pregnancy unit but I also posted on here to see if anybody had gone through similar x

Have you had any bleeding in your pregnancy? Please ring your pregnancy assessment unit, explain what happened and ask them to scan you. Be very clear on the phone that it was a gush of fluid. If it was your waters, it will be confirmed on a scan and a plan put in place to avoid infection. Mine went fully at 14 weeks and I was given a course of antibiotics and weekly scans to see if they'd replenished. I hope you're ok.

To add, mine didn't go during sex, I'd had very heavy bleeding for a couple of weeks due to a haematoma, and I had a small gush of fluid while walking the children home from school, and a few hours later a full gush when I stood up from a chair, puddling on the floor. EPAU were closed as it was late at night, so I had to go through A&E and the doctor I eventually saw tried to convince me I'd pissed myself. I was scanned the next day.

Called EPU this morning and was told a midwife will call me back but not heard anything yet

I hope they get in touch soon, chase them if not. Have you noticed any more leaking?

@imisscoffee - they rang back around 3 o’clock and they said it doesn’t sound like my waters, during pregnancy woman produce a lot more discharge so they think it was that as I never leaked since and have no other symptoms such as bleeding or cramp. I’m glad I rang them tho for peace of mind x

@imisscoffee - bloody got a fright tho, it’s hard to enjoy being intimate when pregnant!
