Suddenly sick all night at 12 weeks. Morning sickness or bug?

I’ve felt nauseous throughout the first trimester but haven’t been sick either in this pregnancy or my last. Now I’m 12 weeks pregnant and have been up to be sick 4 times over night. Can morning sickness come on like this or have I picked up a bug?

@Carbis oh I feel the sickness with you! I have been quite nauseous throughout but I'm now 11 weeks and yesterday I was bed bound all day, it just seems to have hit me with a bang. At the start I thought a bug but I definitely think it's pregnancy sickness! Hope it passes soon!

I hope you feel better soon too @Fawn68 💐
I’m not a great sick person so hoping it passes soon. I don’t know how people manage with being sick for their whole pregnancy. I might be clutching at straws but hoping it’s a surge of hormones towards the end of the first trimester and we’ll be right as rain again soon 🤞

If it’s come on that suddenly I would guess it’s probably food poisoning or a bug. Hope it passes soon.

I’m almost 12 weeks and although I’ve had some mild nausea I’ve found my symptoms have really ramped up this week! To the point where I nearly threw up my dinner. I’m also getting really bad headaches, really tired and uncomfortable at night, getting up to pee all night etc and off all food except really plain stuff.

I don’t have any answers but I am guessing it could be a surge in hormones?

@Carbis either am I! I throw myself a real pity party lol. Thankfully I haven't vomited.
