When did you tell work you were pregnant?

I have just had my 12 week scan, although I am nearly 14 weeks now. I have told everyone who matters about the baby but I am really scared about telling my employer. My contract is up for renewal and whilst I know it shouldn't effect them renewing it I worry that it will. I can't wait until after my contract renews, it will be too late as I know I have to do it 15 weeks before the due date. I think I just need to suck it up and tell them.
I am working from home at the moment but with restrictions easing we are looking to go back to the office soon so I feel my manager should know as I think it needs to be part of their risk assessment. I just don't when or how to tell him.
Do I do it face to face, should I zoom call him or email him? I have never had to do this before and I am worried he won't be very happy.

Congratulations. I told my manager as soon as I found out. We had a difficult journey to get pregnant and I wanted my manager to know in case I needed time off at short notice or if anything happened I wouldn't have to cover it up. I zoom called my manager, feels a bit weird to email! I think you should tell them asap as you're going to have to anyway and maternity appointments are paid time off x

Literally told work this morning and I’m 13+5

You don’t have to tell them until 15 weeks before the due date, but maybe worth while given the current situation so they can do risk assessments etc
