Hcg level dropped from 140 to 54. Have I miscarried?

Found out I was pregnant, last period was maybe 3 weeks ago. Had my hcg levels checked, first was 140. Second hcg level 48 hours later was 54.

I was under the impression your level should rise when pregnancy is ok.

Have I miscarried?

I'm sorry to say, yes, that looks like where this is heading... it is generally called a chemical pregnancy, or very early miscarriage.
