Is this normal? Most things I read say you should feel baby by 20 weeks & even earlier if it’s not your first pregnancy.

I really can’t remember how far gone I was when I felt my first 2 move. Also not sure if I have an anterior placenta, but it wasn’t mentioned at the 12 week scan. My 20 week scan is next week.

Should I be concerned?

You may have an anterior placenta which can prevent you feeling the movement until a bit later. They will tell you the location at your anomaly scan.

I have a posterior placenta (had private scan at 16+4) and been feeling movement from the back end of the 1st trimester. Over 19wk now and movements are easily missed.

@Chelyanne yes I am pretty sure I felt some flutters around 16 weeks once or twice but nothing since. Although I do have 2 young children keeping me busy so potentially, I’m just missing them!

I felt my 1st, 2nd and 4th early 12-16wks.

3rd I had an anterior placenta so 19wks plus.

5th well gone 20wks. Posterior placenta.

3 & 5 have also.been my smallest gaps so I reckon I missed some.of the slight movements.
