Painful nose, potential lump. Anyone had this?

I’m 22 weeks and woke up this morning with my right nostril feeling sore and sensitive. If you think of the middle of your nose, just inside your nostrils there’s a bit that sticks out slightly that you can see from looking up your nose, well on one side that bit looks a little red and inflamed and is mildly painful and a little itchy. Obviously I’m resisting itching it. I’ve bathed it with some salt water today. Has anyone ever had this and know what it is? I’ve literally just got over a UTI so am worried about getting another infection! Any advice on how to treat it?

My nose does generally feel quite dry and uncomfortable too. So far I hadn’t really had any of the usual pregnancy nose-related symptoms, no stuffiness etc, so not sure if it’s just a pregnancy symptom causing the discomfort, or some sort of infection 😔

Sounds like it could just be a spot. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@SnooperTrooper12345 hmm possibly, it is actually in my nose though, and I can’t say I’ve ever had anything like this before. Was just worried it could be an infection seeing as it looks a bit inflamed. Hopefully the salt water will help soothe it.

You can get spots inside your nose. They normally just feel like a big lump

Sounds like a spot in your nostril to me too. I get them occasionally, hard red lumps that are quite painful for a day or so. I wouldn't worry.

It does sound like a spot. They can be very painful. I’ve had a few in my nose during pregnancy. Pregnancy makes you much more prone to them sadly

I've had these! Hurts like hell but v satisfying when they pop...

Thanks everyone, I guess it’s just a spot! Hurts even when I touch the side like putting moisturiser on etc. Hopefully it’ll go in a few day’s x

I often get random spots there, they kill until they come to a head.
