I bought a laser hair removal device just before I found out I was pregnant and now see it's not advised to be used in pregnancy.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever used this on their face while pregnant? I have hairs on my chin/neck that grow quite thick if I don't get rid of them daily so I'm worrying about going into labour with a full beard! Wasn't sure if anyone has used this on their face and it's been ok? I wouldn't use anywhere close to where the baby is

What is the wattage of the laser? The frequency of the beam? It will say on the packaging (and likely the laser too).

I think it's advised not to use in pregnancy just because you are more susceptible to irritation/ burns as skin becomes more sensitive in pregnancy. (I say this as a physicist, though not a specialist in lasers).
